Today, I'd like to thank all of you who downloaded and registered slimKEYS. I've been extremely lucky to get more than 41000 registrations since January. Though more than 65% chose to "buy" slimKEYS for 0$, the remaining 35% have paid more than 11$ on average. Though the Quebec Income Tax will take me more than 70% of this amount, I'm happy to say that development of new slimKEYS plug-ins are well under way.
The next plug-in will be called slimFAT: It's a new technique working on reflexes and higher stress to burn more calories. At random moments, slimFAT will display a balloon message at the bottom-right with a hotkey to press within two seconds (level 1). If you don't press it fast enough, your account goes into "lock" with the usual password prompt to unlock it. The more you advance in the program, the shorter time you have to press the hotkey.
Another new plug-in will be a slimLAUNCH extension to browse the dictionary with the popular slimLAUNCH matching algorithm, and copy words in the clipboard. You'll be able to browse those difficult words you type often, just by pressing a few letters. Since slimLAUNCH remembers last used commands, you'll be able to write long repetitive sentences in fewer keystrokes. For example, if you happen to often write this:
"Please unsubscribe me from your newsletter"
You'll be able to shorten this into this:
"<Win-K>pls<Enter><Space><Win-K>unsub<Enter><Space>me<Enter><Space> <Win-K>frm<Enter><Space><Win-K>yr<Enter><Space><Win-K>nltr<Enter><Space>"
Amazing, no? I'm thinking about "slimDIC" for its name. What do you think?
Finally, I'm planning a slimKEYS improvement to allow postponing hotkeys in time. You'll be able to press a few postponed hotkeys to trigger a series of window movement, key typing, clipboard operations and web searches which take place only minutes or even hours later. That's a great feature for those who need to get away from their working station for illicite breaks, but make their computer look as highly active to spying software. It will even support keyboard typing sounds.
Again, thank you all for your contribution!
