For those that were using the UnzipHere Shell Extension that I made available in a previous life, here is an updated version, with its own installer. This application will add up to three menus when right-clicking on files in Windows Explorer or other applications that support shell extensions (like xplorer2).
- Unzip Here: Available when right-clicking on a ZIP file, this command unzips all files from the target zip file into a subfolder, who's name is automatically determined by looking at the zip file's contents. For example, if the zip file already contains a root folder, Unzip Here won't create a redundant folder.
- Zip This: Just select the files and folders you wish to zip and select this command to create a zip file who's name is either based on what's common between the selected files and folders, or using the parent folder name.
- Zip This Except: Same as Zip This, but you get a chance to type file masks and attributes to exclude from the zipping process before the zip operation begins.
For the moment, I do not expect to put as much time in this application as I do with slimKEYS, but your suggestions are more than welcomed on the UnzipHere forums.
