    Customizable Volume Display

Finally I've found a program that detects my laptop volume buttons! Nice work!

The only problem is that the volume display is tiny. Adding a customizable display would be awesome. What I have in mind:

Select text style (font, color, attributes) and position on screen and text format. For example, have a textbox with "Volume: %n", so that users can input the text they'd like to show, be able to just input "%n" if they just want the percentage to be shown, or even disable that option completely. Also, a volume bar like those seen on TVs would be cool. Give it a customizable transparency level, and you'll be done. You will have made the best volume controlling module a program like this has ever had!

Yeah, you can kinda tell I'm into slimKEYS mostly because of the volume thing, haha. I like slimLAUNCH too, it's like linux's Alt+F2. Guess what hotkeys I assigned to your program? =)

    Nice job, keep it up!

    Re: Customizable Volume Display

Aw, I was really disappointed to see that there is no volume bar in 0.9.6. :( That's the feature I was looking forward the most. I'll have to stop using this until the volume bar is implemented. I found another program that does it, but it's all it does. But if you implement it, I'll ditch that one and stick to sK :)

    Re: Customizable Volume Display

It's rude how you've ignored my posts while replying to newer ones. I just wanted to say that without this, slimKEYS isn't a lot better than Launchy, Colibri, Guilotine, etc. Being programmed in .Net makes it slower than its counterparts. Those have features that are not present in slimKEYS. I might check back when your program has reached a more mature state.

    Until then, good luck.

    Re: Customizable Volume Display

Sorry about that. I thought your message was precise and didn't know you were expecting a confirmation. There will be an option to change the aspect of the volume notification, but probably not as customizable as you wish for the moment.

The next version should feel faster when using slimLAUNCH, though there is always room for improvements.

As for the other features slimKEYS is lacking, keep the suggestions coming. I'm reading! I may not answer everything under the "Feature requests" section, but I'm reading!

    Thank you.

Can you check version 0.9.7 and tell me what you think of the new volume display options?

    Thanks.
