    "Windows+" Modifiers

I've just started using slimKeys v0.9.5 and am very impressed.

I would like to see key modifier options of "Windows+{other modifier like Ctrl, Alt or Shift}".

I use the more standard modifiers (like Ctrl+Shift+F to add file in favorites in UltraEdit-32) a lot in development IDEs and editors, so I like to reserve the "Windows" key for more global hotkeys. The issue is that the unshifted "Windows" modifier is already used by the MS-Windows shell for some functions like "Windows+M" will minimize all windows and I'd like to map that my eMail program. Being able to map "Windows+Alt+M" would solve my issue.

Another option would be to allow chorded keys for the slimLaunch plug-in. By chorded, I mean "Windows+{key}" would go into a mode that would wait for a second hotkey before launching. This would allow hotkey grouping by categor. For example, Windows+A for apps or Windows+D for development tools. So a practical example would be Windows+D followed by 5 (or Ctrl+5) would launch Visual Studio 2005, Windows+D followed by 3 would launch Visual Studio 2003 and Windows+D followed by S would launch SharpDevelop.

Thanks for such a cool utility and consideration of this request.

Hi! Thank you for the good comments.

The next version will use checkboxes for the Alt, Shift, Control and Windows modifiers, so you can combine any of them.

As for chorded keys, it's an idea worth considering. Technically, I could make a handler "wake up" on the first hotkey, and "activate" on the second, without changing much of the design. I'll think about it...

Great, checkboxes will definately work for me.

As a matter of fact, I have also completed the "Press a hotkey" textbox today (disabled in version 0.9.5), so the next release should address this issue, and also finding the correct key in the combo.
