Yes, that was my first reaction too, but I caught myself a few times trying to double-click items. I think it happens when I type in a few letters, and there are a lot of results (I also added My Documents to slimLAUNCH), and I scroll faster by dragging the scrollbar thingy with my mouse, looking for the item, and then I apparently find it more intuitive to double-click the item, because I'm in mouse mode.
