    Excellent piece of software...

I can't seem to find the 'Space' bar in the listed modifiers.

I also had trouble finding the + and -, using the words add and subtract can be hard to find.
One idea would be to put the keys in bold sections.

I'm not able to use the 'Or press hotkey here' textbox.

The built-in hotkeys, for example the Windows+4, did not appear the first time I double-clicked the systray icon.

Will you, in the future, extend the range of functions beyond hotkeys? An example would be folder watching and launching applications if a file or folder exists.

Another cool function would be hotkeys per active application, example: 'Windows+s' in photoshop moves the window to the left and the same hotkey in Paint shop pro would move it to the right?

Hi Jake. Thank you very much for the feedback.

The Space key cannot be used as a modifier when registering a global hotkey. Only Shift, Control, Alt and the Windows keys can. As another user reported, the key list seems to have duplicates and missing keys, which will be fixed in the next version. Grouping keys by category or keyboard area is a good idea which I'll keep in the pipeline. The "Press hotkey here" textbox is not implemented yet. I have a working prototype, but it does not work well enough for the moment. That's why it's disabled.

As for the built-in hotkeys not appearing the first time, I'm taking good note. Did others readers reproduced this?

For the moment, slimKEYS will remain in the global hotkey area, but nothing prevents third-party from creating a handler that launches apps when folders or files are created, though it's not related to hotkeys. As for per-application hotkeys, it won't go as far as your example, but an upcoming version of the slimSIZE plug-in will be able to target not only the active window, but also a window by its title or class name. This means you'll be able to make "Windows-S" (for example) move the window who's title matches "Photoshop*".

    Re: Excellent piece of software...

What I meant with the space bar was for example ALT+SPACE to open slimLaunch, like Approcket.

EDIT: Another thing that would be great in slimLaunch would be if it looses focus it will close the window. Or even better would be to mimic approcket, which will dock to the top and hide when it looses focus.

Hey Jake, what version of slimKeys are you running? I've got v0.9.5.0 running under Windows XP and the space bar key shows up as 'Space' in the list of keys. I've tried it with both the 'Alt' and 'Windows' modifiers and it seems to work.
