    Backups

I had a system crash yesterday and after a restart Windows must have restored the registry, because when I tried to launch slimLAUNCH it didn't respond.

When I opened the slimKEYS window, there was nothing configured. Not even the built-in keys. Would it be possible to backup the settings to a file or have an autobackup in case of corruption or crashes?

I was going to upload a screenshot, but it said I didn't have permission.

I have uploaded the screenshot to a website for you to look at.

    Re: Backups

After the system crash, I tried setting up a new hotkey for slimLAUNCH and after closing the config window I received the error message 'Object reference not set to an instance' in a bubble above the systray icon.
My list still doesn't have the built-in hotkeys listed.

Looks like something got corrupted. Have you tried reinstalling?

    Re: Backups

I tried both a repair and a complete reinstall, I still can't get the built-in hotkeys back.

As for backup, it would be great to be able to export all hotkeys and settings to reimport or move to another computer, or after a system reinstall.

    Re: Backups

First, nothing is written in the registry. Everything is in the config file located in the slimKEYS installation folder. In the next release, this file will now be saved in the user profile. It seems your crash caused a bad config from being written. I'm looking for a way to provide a backup and revert to that backup when failing to load the default file.

For the moment, close slimKEYS, delete the file "slimKEYS.config", and restart slimKEYS. It will recreate the default hotkeys.
