It was on my list for 2008, but I'd lie saying I still believe in a 2008 release, so first half of 2009 is more probable. I just pushed version 1.2.8429, which should fix this issue. File masks are also now supported in watched folders.

First time I hear about this one, though I must admit I'm aware of another similar bug when using file masks (more a ''not implemented yet'' than a bug). I'll fix both at the same time, for the next release. Can't give you an ETA, but it won't be long.

The way you would like it, the answer is ''no''. Currently, the only way to create a magic word is via slimLAUNCH and Alt-Enter. It wouldn't be difficult for me to add such an option.
