Version 1.5.9575 - 2009/11/25

slimGRAB:
  • Fixed default button on Twitter credentials window, so that pressing submits username and password.
slimLAUNCH.FileSystem:
  • Added "Hidden console" window option for launching console applications without showing the console window.

  • Fixed error that prevented using newly installed slimKEYS on XP since last build, or activating slimSMOKE on existing installations on XP.

Version 1.5.9405 - 2009/08/05

slimGRAB:
  • Now allows you to post captured images to TwitPic. Press Ctrl-T or Alt-Ctrl-T to post the current selection to TwitPic. The resulting URL is automatically copied to the clipboard.
slimLAUNCH.FileSystem:
  • You can now specify how the initial window appears: Normal, maximized, minimized or hidden. Use that last option carefully! The application does start without any window!
slimSMOKE:
  • New highlight effect which can be combined with the existing smoke and blur effects as you wish.
  • Toggling effects on/off and cycling through all combinaisons are now distinct options. You can have multiple slimSMOKE hotkeys that toggle or enumerate different effects.
  • The inner engine was changed to prevent problems and reduce CPU usage with multiple hotkeys.

Version 1.4.9255 - 2009/05/05

slimKEYS:
  • slimKEYS is now FREE! This does not mean its support will diminish, rest assured.
  • Saving the confguration with the executable is not explicitly supported anymore. Instead, you can now pass the configuration filename as a command-line argument to slimKEYS, enabling many more scenarios, like using slimKEYS from a USB stick.
slimSIZE:
  • You can tell a hotkey to grow or shrink a window, instead of just imposing a specific size.
slimVOLUME:
  • You can make a hotkey set the volume to a specific level, instead of just increasing or decreasing it.
slimLAUNCH:
  • A few shortcuts, like pressing Ctrl-F on a FileSystem item to open its parent folder, now close the slimLAUNCH window, like it should have been in the first place. A bug disguised into a feature!

slimKEYS:
  • Changed "First Time Use" instructions to make them per plug-in again.
  • Added "Getting Started" help in slimKEYS hotkey window. Press F1 on any provider or hotkey. This is a first move toward context help.

slimLAUNCH.Passwords:
  • Changed default naming pattern to "<category> : <title>".

  • Default hotkeys adjustments for Windows 7.
  • Added back Win-Multiply and Win-Divide hotkeys for changing a window's opacity.
  • Fixed offset problem that appeared when you put your taskbar on the left or top of the screen.

slimKEYS:
  • The trial version shows a message at the bottom of each window, instead of a popup notification at every N hotkey pressed.
  • Notification messages are now using the correct theme colors.
  • Fixed default colors that were not matching the "slimCODE" theme.
slimLAUNCH.Passwords:
  • When editing password stores, you can rename categories and password entries right from the treeview.
  • When editing password stores, the F2 shortcut now renames the selected tree node, and Enter edits the selected password entry.
  • You can drag and drop password nodes from one category to another for faster category renaming.
slimSEARCH:
  • You can control how spaces are converted into the destination query. This fixes the issue of spaces and Wikipedia searches.
  • Fixed tab order in configuration window.
slimSMOKE:
  • You can now tell the hotkey handler to cycle through all combinaisons of dimming and blurring.
slimLAUNCH:
  • When editing a slimLAUNCH hotkey configuration, the list of sources scrolls vertically instead of horizontally.
slimVOLUME:
  • Changed the transparency color for TV-like bars, so the label looks nicer.
slimSIZE:
  • Fixed tab order in configuration window.

slimSMOKE:
  • Support Vista's blur for a cool new dimming mode.
  • Can either display only the active window, or every window of the active process.
  • The non-fast mode was removed, it was too heavy on the CPU.
slimLAUNCH.FileSystem:
  • Fixed problem with newly created files appearing in the search for folder-only sources.
  • File masks support for watched folders is completed.
slimSIZE:

  • A new extension is available, which allows you to type a FogBugz case number to search for it on your server.
  • Fixed some special characters lost when performing a search.
  • The https prefix is now recognized as a web address.
slimVOLUME:
  • Now supporting Windows Vista.
  • New volume drawing technique for better look over motion.
slimGRAB:
  • When saving over an existing file, the extension was repeated a second time.

  • Fixed password entry's last modified date not updated for every field change.
slimSIZE:
  • Sizes and positions can now be expressed in percentage.
  • You can specify a negative width or height to use the target monitor's full width or height minus that absolute value.
  • Default hotkeys after a fresh install were cleaned-up
slimSEARCH:
  • Added new search query type called "Web Address Filter", which recognizes web addresses and open them in your default browser instead of performing a search for them. Useful for those who don't like to use Alt-S or the "!" prefix.
  • Improved search entry selection and additions.
slimVOLUME:
  • slimVOLUME is automatically disabled on Windows Vista until support for this operating system is completed.

slimSIZE:
  • Added "Window State" option to change the target window's state to either maximized, normal or minimized, or to leave it as is (default). For backward compatibility, existing slimSIZE hotkeys default to "do not change the state". You may want to revise each hotkey, those changing the size for example, to force the "Normal" state.
  • Fixed regular expression caption matching. Regular expressions must either start with a ^ or end with a $ (or both).
slimGRAB:
  • You can save the selection to file, by pressing Ctrl-S or Ctrl-Alt-S (with padding).
slimSEARCH:
  • Pressing ESC in the search selection window did not close the window.
slimPASTE:
  • Fixed bad behavior when pasting while hotkey still down. In order to behave correctly, it now pastes text when you release the hotkey.

Version 1.0.3 - 2007/01/24

slimKEYS:
  • Two new views in the main hotkeys window.
  • Fixed focused hotkey issues when removing hotkeys.
  • Fixed button appearance in some windows where buttons were in a panel.
  • The software now works in trial mode (only a small balloon popup message the first time you press a hotkey) and can be purchased for the price you want.
slimLAUNCH:

  • Targetting windows by their caption now supports wildcards at the beginning or end of the caption.
  • Targetting windows by their caption now supports regular expressions. Start your search string with a dollar sign ($).
  • The default hotkeys for new installations now use Win-Numpad{1-9} and Ctrl-Win-Numpad{1-9}, which is easier to remember.
  • Fixed screen ID combo box showing ID 0 when editing a hotkey previously set to "Move to next monitor".
  • A maximized window that gets moved to another monitor without affecting its size nor coordinates now remains maximized.
slimVOLUME:
  • You can select the monitor where to display the volume level.
  • A label appears at the right of the bars.
  • Colors were slightly retouched.
slimGRAB:
  • You can capture an area with an 8 pixels padding, using Alt-Enter.
  • You can capture a custom area using the left mouse button.
  • You can select a specific window by clicking it with the right mouse button.
  • You can also cycle throught child windows using the extra mouse buttons.
  • Colors were adjusted, and an info panel appears in a corner.
slimSEARCH:
  • The search window does not hide automatically anymore when getting out of focus.
  • The search window isn't topmost anymore.
